Halloween Headband

Hi there.
Just completed my final October class. We had two Cupcake Funcake Classes and one Sew Awesome Class. My students were excited about both classes and were even looking for Cupcakes in their sewing Classes lol. Many of them are planning on incorporating their new headbands into their Halloween costumes which makes me very excited. A few of them do not participate in Halloween however they are still very excited to see what they can make with their very own hands and how cute they look with their fun new accessorie.

I hope you all have already gotten Halloween costume's for your little ones so that they can enjoy playing pretend. Don't let them have too much candy thought..........

I will be working on my November Class ideas, which I need to squeeze in between my moms' group (Fun Stuff). Definitely planning on trying my hand at cake pops but unsure of what else. I will share with you as soon as I figure it out.

Have a great week!

Halloween Cupcake Party Craft - Tutorial

Hi Guys,
I recently hosted an awesome Halloween Cupcake Class where we made vanilla cupcakes with decadent chocolate frosting. For the class I made some easy table signs and customized some paper plates.

For the table signs I used a Halloween Postcard template from www.Avery.com (you can get a free account, use their templates, and save your projects online). I needed the text/image direction to be different from how the original template was designed and was able to change that with a quick edit. The completed template was then printed on white Card Stock paper. You only need the front side, the back side is for actually mailing out post cards. The frames are very inexpensive Tolsby frames from one of my favorite stores Ikea. After printing and cutting, just place the images back to back and add the ribbon.
For the plates, I used 7 inch diameter plates, card stock, and two All Around Lever Punches one 3 inches and the other 3.5 inches. After the circles were punched out, I used Permanent Band Glue Runner as shown below to attach the larger circle to the plate and then the smaller circle on top. This would look just as cute with an even smaller center circle, but I did want my circle larger than the bottom of the cupcake.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you use these in your next event.

Don't forget to leave a comment and tell me what you think. See you next time.
